Urban Ministry Seminar

If you will be in the Detroit area next week, we would love to have you join us for a seminar next Tuesday.

As the world’s population continues to migrate to cities, it is important for pastors, missionaries, and other Christian workers to be aware of and involved in urban ministry. In an effort to serve you in this area, Inter-City Baptist Church will be hosting an Urban Ministry Seminar on Tuesday, June 15th, from 1:00-5:30 p.m. The schedule is as follows:

1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Session 1: Why Urban Ministry?

2:00 p.m.-2:15 p.m. Break

2:15 p.m.-3:15 p.m. Session 2: What Is Urban Ministry?

3:15 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Break

3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Session 3: Where Do We Go From Here?

4:30 p.m.-4:45 p.m. Break

4:45 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Session 4: Q & A

Our special speaker for the seminar will be Jason Ormiston, professor at Bob Jones University and assistant pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Greenville, SC. Professor Ormiston has 11 years of urban church planting experience, having helped start two urban churches in Minneapolis, MN. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Urban Missions from Westminster Theological Seminary.

The seminar will be hosted at the CrossRoads to the Nations House, a center for campus ministry at Wayne State University in Detroit. The address is 74 W. Forest Ave, Detroit MI 48201.
