Missions Mobilization Resources for Children
April 28, 2010 – 4:10 pmBelow are some resources for instructing your children, students, grandchildren, neighbors, or young friends at church on the subject of biblical missions:
- Quest for Compassion: An interactive, online game designed to educate children about the needs of children around the world. Though specifically targeting the issues of poverty, disease, and illiteracy, playing the game with children gives you a great window to explain the cultures of Brazil, Ghana, Bangladesh, and El Salvador and their need of the gospel. Operation World’s Window on the World would be a great resource to complement this game.
- Missionary Stories from Around the World: Brief missionary biographies. Perfect for story time after dinner of before your children go to bed.
- PDF Childrens Missions Books: A Southern Baptist site where you can download missions books for children (preschool specific and elementary specific stories).
- Childrens Missions: A Southern Baptist site that contains missions resources for parents, children, and teachers.
- Christian Heroes Missionary Biographies: An extensive collection of missionary biographies (36 total) geared towards youth. Stories of Isobel Kuhn and Elizabeth Elliot are the latest publications.
- Torchlighters Animated Biography Videos: The stories of Eric Liddel, Nate Saint, John Bunyan, and Perpetua. (You can preview them as well.) For more on the Torchlighters Series, view this archived MM post.
